Hack Your iPhone into a Mouse for your PC

So I was doing some digital doodling last night and I was thinking to myself “I wonder if someone has made their iPhone into a mouse for their PC”… And of course before I could even finish that thought I see a link about some guy that tweaked his iPhone to connect to a server that allows his phone to act as a wireless mouse.

Sound unbelievable! Check it out for your self!

Check out the comments that the guys make on his site…Are you serious! Make the track pad like the new apple track pads.. Um Last I heard the iPhone is not a multi-touch device yet.. Give em a inch and they take a yard. :) hahaha

Uh … the iPhone and iPod Touch _are_ multitouch devices. Have been since day one — it was one of their selling points; The Steve kept going on about it at the iPhone keynote. Up to 5 fingers are recognized at once.

Two-finger scroll in some dialog boxes on iPhone-formatted websites with embedded scroll boxes? Give it a try sometime…

yes you are right and I know that you could do that.. But I kind of meant multi-touch as in run and start other apps at the same time…I confused myself..But thanks :)

It’s possible though. Apple’s latest patent filing (http://www.engadget.com/2008/02/19/apple-patent-hints-at-advanced-multitouch-features-iphone-cop/) lists new multi-touch gestures, some of which could see their way to the iPhone and iPod Touch.
