1Password Settings for Safari 4 0

So I have been avoiding my Safari version 4 lately for a kind of dumb reason. Although this reason is kind of simple! What is it? Well I am very lazy and I hate retyping all my passwords when logging in and out of my sites.

That is what I have 1Password for! 1Password is a really awesome and speedy tool that can be used for Macs to login to your most commonly used sites without using the “remember password” function that is built into your web browsers.

Anyways my 1Password button was not showing in my Safari 4 and I could not figure out why, so I just avoided using it at all costs. Here is how to make 1Password show up in your Safari browser again.

1. Check for updates to your version of 1Password : open 1Password : click 1Password>check for updates
2. You can customize your toolbar for your Safari browser: open 1Password : view>customize toolbar> (drag the 1P icon to your toolbar)
3. In my case I had to quit Safari app. (Make sure that 1Password has been stopped) open Finder: go to apps > right click on 1Password > get info> select open in 32 bit mode.

If Step 3 does not work you should review step #2 again!

Have Fun!

iPhone 3.0 Jailbreak 0

“About 5 hours ago (Thursday evening, less than a week after the 3GS
launch), we were able to verify that the 24Kpwn exploit that the hybrid
team used on the iPod Touch 2G is still applicable to the bootrom of
the iPhone 3GS. That means we can use the same sort of technique used
by our current redsn0w tool to jailbreak and unlock the iPhone 3GS.” iPhone Dev – Team Blog

So apparently you can jailbreak and or unlock your iPhone 3.0 3Gs.  Because some of the fundamental flaws that allow this crack still remain in the new phones.

Read a little bit more about it here.

How to Enable 1 Password in Safari 4 beta 0

Safari 4 Beta has been released today!! Really excited about that. Download it from the apple.com website today.

I noticed that my 1 Password is not turned on anymore.  The user field and password fill button disappeared.  Not to worry though… I will look into this and post a “how to enable 1 Password in Safari 4″

First try to Quit Safari 4 and restart again.. if that does not work,

How to enable 1password in the Safari 4 Beta:

1.Close Safari
2.Go to the /Applications/ folder
3.Right click on 1password.app, hit “Show Package Contents”
4.Navigate to /Contents/Resources/
5.Double click on SupportedBrowsers.plist. If you have Apple’s development tools installed, it’ll open in the Plist editor. If not, it’ll open in plaintext.
If you’re using the Plist editor, expand the “Safari” drop-down (Just click the little arrow beside Safari).

Look for the MaxBundleVersion key with a value of 5528.1 – change it to 5528.16. Save.
Open Safari

You can now use 1password via the right click menu in Safari Beta 4. If you want to add the 1password button to your toolbar, go to View > Customize Toolbar in Safari and drag it over.

Enjoy easy access to all of your junk!

You can also try to Quit Safari and Restart Safari 4 beta again!… That should work too!

iPhone 2.0 Update Causing Problems for 1st Generation Phones 0

Comments from bloggers and iPhone users alike are saying that their 1st generation iPhones are now iBricks.

It appears that the 7.7 update via iTunes is causing some errors that cause the iPhone to shutdown and no longer function as a phone. It appears to be problems caused by server overloads that were experienced on Friday.

A News.cnet.com reader says “Apple blames the problem on “network congestion on the iTunes server,”
but says you should be able to update or restore the firmware once the
traffic dies down.”

But some readers say that the updates may be working now!

If you have jailbroken your iPhone and you would like for it to work in the near future, I suggest that you do not update your iTunes version. This may brick your phone for good!
